RAW White Balance Correction
One of the biggest advantages of shooting RAW is the ability to adjust white balance after the fact. JustConvertRAW lets you correct color temperature and tint during conversion -- right in your browser.
Why White Balance Matters
White balance determines how colors are rendered in your photo. When set incorrectly, images can appear unnaturally warm (orange) or cool (blue). Indoor lighting, mixed light sources, and unusual conditions like sunset or fluorescent lighting all create color casts that can make photos look unnatural. While JPEG files bake in the white balance permanently, RAW files preserve the original sensor data, allowing you to correct the color temperature without any quality loss.
Adjusting White Balance in RAW
JustConvertRAW provides white balance controls during the RAW-to-JPEG conversion process. You can choose from standard presets like Daylight, Cloudy, Tungsten, Fluorescent, and Shade, or fine-tune the color temperature manually using a Kelvin slider. A tint adjustment lets you compensate for green or magenta color shifts. The preview updates in real time so you can see exactly how your adjustments affect the final image before saving.
Non-Destructive Workflow
Since JustConvertRAW works with the original RAW data, your white balance adjustments are applied during the conversion process without modifying the source file. You can experiment with different settings and convert the same RAW file multiple times with different white balance values. This non-destructive approach gives you complete creative freedom while preserving your original captures.
