How JustConvertRAW Works
Your RAW photos are converted entirely in your browser using WebAssembly. Here is exactly what happens under the hood.
Drop Your RAW File
Drag and drop or click to browse. Supports CR2, CR3, NEF, ARW, DNG, RAF, ORF, RW2, PEF, and more. The file is read into browser memory — no upload, no network request.
Preview & View Metadata
An instant thumbnail preview is extracted from the embedded JPEG in the RAW file. Detailed EXIF metadata (camera, lens, ISO, shutter, aperture, GPS) is read and displayed.
Adjust Conversion Settings
Choose color space, demosaic algorithm (AHD, VNG, PPG, etc.), white balance, brightness, highlight recovery, and noise reduction. All options run locally in your browser.
Download JPEG or PNG
The full-resolution RAW image is demosaiced and rendered via canvas. Download as JPEG with adjustable quality, or lossless PNG.
Technical Details
JustConvertRAW uses librawjs — a custom WebAssembly build of LibRaw 0.22.1 compiled with Emscripten. It runs entirely client-side with no server required. Your photos never leave your device at any point in the process.
Privacy Guarantee
Because processing is entirely local, we have no access to your photos. No image data, EXIF metadata, or GPS coordinates are ever transmitted. You can verify this yourself by opening your browser's Network tab and observing that no file data is sent to any external server.
