Can You Convert JPG to RAW?

No — and no software can change that. A camera RAW file holds raw, unprocessed data straight from the image sensor: full bit depth, complete dynamic range, zero in-camera processing. When your camera creates a JPEG, it applies all of that processing — white balance, sharpening, noise reduction, colour curves — and then permanently discards the original sensor data. That information is gone and cannot be recovered.

Some tools claim to wrap a JPEG inside a RAW container (like Adobe DNG). This is technically possible, but the result is not a real RAW file. It still contains the same compressed, processed data as the original JPEG — just in a different package. You gain none of the editing latitude that genuine RAW files offer.
